About the Role

  • Lead the Record-to-Report (RTR) function ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial accounting operations.
  • Oversee period-end close, general ledger integrity, and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Drive operational efficiency, standardization, and automation across RTR processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional finance and business teams to deliver high-quality financial insights.
  • Provide leadership, governance, and performance oversight to the RTR team.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and GL reconciliations.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity and perform variance and flux analysis for key accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports while supporting internal, external, and SOX audits.
  • Strengthen RTR controls through process optimization, automation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Operations teams.
  • Oversee ERP systems and reporting tools to ensure data accuracy and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or equivalent are advantageous.

Experience

  • 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in RTR or GL management roles.
  • Hands-on experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience leading or mentoring accounting teams.
  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Skills

  • Strong technical accounting and general ledger expertise.
  • Advanced Excel and financial data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with reporting and reconciliation tools such as BlackLine, OneStream, Hyperion, or Power BI.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Process improvement mindset with focus on automation and operational excellence.
