About the Role

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to US-based Venture, Growth, and Steady-State organizations.
  • Provide end-to-end HR advisory, consulting, and operational support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Design and implement scalable HR policies, frameworks, and governance models aligned to business growth stages.
  • Collaborate directly with founders, CXOs, and leadership teams to align people strategy with business objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance with US federal, state, and local labor laws while enabling organizational agility.

Job Description

  • Deliver strategic HR consulting across workforce planning, organizational design, and performance management.
  • Develop and standardize HR policies, employee handbooks, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS workflows, and lifecycle management.
  • Drive compliance oversight, conduct HR audits, and mitigate employment-related risks.
  • Build long-term client relationships and provide data-driven HR insights to enhance productivity and retention.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or HRBP are considered an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5–12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years supporting US-based clients.
  • Demonstrated experience working with startups, venture-backed companies, or growth-stage organizations.
  • Background in HR consulting, shared services, or client-facing advisory environments preferred.
  • Proven experience designing HR frameworks and supporting rapid-growth or multi-state operations.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of US labor laws and multi-state compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in drafting HR policies, employee handbooks, engagement models, and SOPs.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as BambooHR, Workday, Gusto, ADP, Zenefits, or Rippling.
  • Strong capabilities in employee relations, compensation structuring, performance management, and workplace investigations.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements within a consulting model.
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Consulting mindset with the ability to influence and guide executive stakeholders.
  • High adaptability and comfort operating within evolving client environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project-management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated empathy, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
