About the Role
- The HR Services professional will function as a strategic partner to U.S.-based Venture, Growth, and Steady-State clients, delivering comprehensive HR advisory, consulting, and operational support. The role requires the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of HR policies, programs, and frameworks tailored to dynamic, fast-scaling organizations. The incumbent will partner directly with client leadership teams, ensuring compliance with U.S. labor regulations while building scalable, high-impact people operations.
Job Description
1. HR Consulting & Advisory
- Serve as the primary HR advisor for clients across multiple growth stages, understanding their business landscape and people challenges.
- Provide guidance on HR best practices, organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.
- Lead consulting engagements involving sensitive HR matters such as terminations, disciplinary actions, investigations, workplace grievances, and compliance-related issues.
2. Policy Design & HR Framework Development
- Design, develop, and implement HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and governance frameworks in alignment with U.S. federal and state laws.
- Build scalable HR processes suitable for fast-growing clients transitioning from startup to mature operating models.
- Standardize hiring practices, onboarding workflows, compensation structures, and benefits frameworks based on industry benchmarks.
3. HR Operations & Service Delivery
- Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS updates, HR documentation, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Coordinate closely with payroll teams to ensure accurate employee records, benefits processing, compensation updates, and statutory compliance.
- Implement and optimize HRIS platforms by mapping workflows, defining automations, and ensuring clients fully leverage system capabilities.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, OSHA, and related regulations.
- Conduct periodic HR compliance audits and risk assessments; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Advise clients on regulatory implications related to multi-state operations, expansions, restructuring, or M&A activities.
5. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and sustain strong relationships with founders, CXOs, HR leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Understand client growth trajectories, anticipate HR needs, and proactively deliver scalable people-organization solutions.
- Provide HR insights, analytics, dashboards, and strategic recommendations to enhance workforce performance and retention.
