Job Description

• Technical Leadership:
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.
• Lead complex data migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms.
• Design and optimize SQL Server and Snowflake databases.
• Develop and review advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
• Evaluate and recommend modern tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Team Management & Delivery Oversight:
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, developers, and analysts.
• Define team goals, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct regular code reviews, performance evaluations, and skill development sessions.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical escalations and solution design discussions.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align technical delivery with business objectives.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data analytics , Data Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in database development, data engineering, and cloud solutions.

Experience

• Certifications in Snowflake, Azure/AWS/GCP, or related technologies.
• Experience with tools like DBT, Airflow, Informatica, or Talend.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering.
• Experience with self service tools i.e. Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView etc.

Skills

• Proven expertise in SQL Server, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience in data migration, data modelling, and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
